What fillers do you offer?
There are dozens of fillers on the market today. More are constantly being introduced. HA is an incredibly attractive filler ingredient, partly due to its biocompatibility. It gets along and integrates very well with natural tissues. It is also a water-loving molecule, which means that it binds well to water to plump the skin and provide a youthful appearance. We also offer the full menu of Restylane® fillers for everything from natural lip augmentation to the correction of wrinkles around the mouth and nose and volume loss in the cheeks. Last but certainly not least, we provide the highly durable “collagen booster:” Sculptra®.
Why do you call Sculptra® a collagen booster?
Sculptra® is not formulated with HA. Instead, this gel is made from tiny particles of poly-L-lactic acid. This unique formulation triggers the process of collagen production. This natural firming protein breaks down with time, making way for lines, wrinkles, and laxity or sagging. By restoring collagen, you regain your attractive, balanced, and youthful contours. Due to this distinctive engineering, Sculptra® presents a particularly long-lasting filler. Results may be sustained for up to two years before maintenance injections are required.

What filler may be best for me?
The answer to that question starts with a consultation at our center in Tualatin, Oregon. Restylane® Collection of Fillers
Wrinkles and sagging skin begin to develop when the structural elements of the dermis start to break down. Collagen, elastin fibers, and hyaluronic acid give skin its structure and suppleness. Hyaluronic acid acts as a network onto which collagen and elastin fibers bind. Without this essential acid wrinkles, jowls, and volume loss occurs. Replenishing skin with hyaluronic acid is therefore an obvious way to get rid of wrinkles, folds, sagging and volume loss. Restylane is hyaluronic acid.
How It Works
Hyaluronic acid works as a hydrating agent addition to functioning as a binder for collagen and elastin. It is injected into needed areas with a small, fine needle. Because hyaluronic acid is combined with an anesthetic, the treatment is close to pain-free. Restylane injections are in-office procedures that take 15 to 20 minutes and produce immediate results.
Are There Side Effects?
Side effects from Restylane are mild and usually include injection site bruising. We emphasize the importance of taking Arnica pills starting three days prior to treatment, and to continue with the pills until bruising disappears. Aspirin and nonsteroidal, anti-inflammatory treatments such as Advil and Aleve should be avoided 10 days before treatment to minimize bruising. Any patients with cardiac disease must talk to their cardiologist before discontinuing or changing medications.
Other potential, if rare, side effects include swelling, nodule formation, and bluish skin tint. Swelling and bruising usually disappear after a few days, while other side effects are easily corrected by your physician. We encourage patients to call or come in to correct side effects.

Restylane-L is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Restylane-L injectable gel is administered under the skin to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your smile lines or parentheses (nasolabial folds – the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). Restylane-L is FDA approved to last up to one year.

Is dysport a facial filler?
Facial fillers fill in facial areas that have lost their smoothness and volume. Sometimes cheeks lose their plumpness or lips can look thin which are perfect for facial fillers. Wrinkles around the mouth along with forehead wrinkles can be treated with fillers to give a smoother look.
Dysport will freeze muscles which stops wrinkles when making facial expressions and typically on the forehead and around the eyes. Dysport can last for 3 to 4 months while fillers vary depending on which fillers are used.
It is common to use fillers and dysport together. For example we might use fillers around the mouth and dysport for the eyes and forehead area.
