Botox® Cosmetic & Medical

Botox Treatment is an art.

How do you get the exact look you want without being “over-Botoxed” or “under-Botoxed”? It’s all in the strategy.

At Bridgeport Laser & Wellness Center, our injectors have extensive training in facial musculature. At the start of each appointment, we will examine your facial muscles and movement, as well as listen to the results you wish to achieve. Whether you are looking for a frozen look, or want to keep a natural appearance, you are always given a customized treatment. Botox should never be “one-size-fits-all”. After all, no two faces are the same. It is no surprise we have received the annual “Portland’s Best Medical Spa” award 4 years in row.

BOTOX® Before and After

BOTOX® Frequently Asked Questions

What is BOTOX®?

Botox is one of the original and still most effective treatments created to reduce moderate to severe crow’s feet and frown lines. And, as one of the most thoroughly tested and studied dermal injections on the market, you can be sure that the product is safe. Botox is approved for use in over 78 countries worldwide.
The key to the success of botox is in its contents. It contains small amounts of botulinum toxin protein refined from the Clostridum Botulinum bacterium. BOTOX® Cosmetic is made by Allergan, and there is no generic equivalent, meaning you can trust that you’re getting a trusted, safe treatment.

How does BOTOX® work?

BOTOX® treatments involve the injection of very tiny amounts of a purified protein into specific area to improve lines, wrinkles and furrows caused by excessive facial movements such as squinting or frowning. In experienced hands, the results of this non-invasive therapy are predictably wonderful. Dysport is available upon request. BOTOX® is also effective treatments for migraines and migraine prevention.

How long does BOTOX® last?

The effects of Botox injections typically last from 3 to 4 months. As the strength of the Botox decreases over time, the muscles affected will return to their previous state, meaning frown lines and wrinkles will reappear. These areas will then need to be re-treated. The good news is that if you are regularly treated with Botox, your treatments may last longer, meaning you won’t have to come in as often for re-treatments.

How much does BOTOX® cost?

Botox dosage is measured in units. The best wrinkle-erasing results come from a strategic treatment: a combination of appropriate dosage for each individual’s facial musculature and precise targeting of where the Botox is placed. This brings us to the practical question: what is the difference in paying “by unit” for a Botox treatment and paying “by area.” Some practices choose to charge a set “by area” price, but at Bridgeport Laser & Wellness Center we charge our Botox by the unit. When charged by the unit, you can be confident that you are only paying for the amount that you need.In a complimentary consultation which includes an examination of your unique facial musculature, a thorough explanation of how Botox works and discussion of your desired result, you will be educated on exactly what dosage is appropriate for you. There will be enough time to also give you the treatment on the day of your consultation, however if you prefer to just have the consultation and schedule the treatment another time that is completely up to you. As Kelly Ripa, one of our favorite New York Girls, says: “I work out absolutely every day. I don’t overeat. I try to drink water but I prefer wine, and when all else fails, I get Botox injected right here, right into my forehead, as much as possible.” Call 503-772-3297 to schedule your complimentary consultation today!
